We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
• Cut, shape, and join materials using hand and power tools, including chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter’s hand and power tools
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Finish surfaces of woodwork and wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools, and paneling
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Good knowledge of wood properties and other materials used in carpentry
• Ability to use hand and power tools and measuring instruments accurately
